Surgical Nutrition Intervention: Standard of Care

Nutrition & Disease Management
This program presented on February 21, 2019 describes the clinical outcomes when immunonutrition is applied peri-operatively in the major surgery patient, and gives an overview of the synergistic function various immunonutrients may have on the scientific basis for outcomes observed. The health economics potential for this standard of care is shown in GI cancer surgery patients by use of outcomes data and US hospital data on cost.
