Cow’s milk allergy is commonly the first manifestation of food allergy and atopic march in an infant. Manifestations vary from mild to severe including anaphylaxis and can be IgE-mediated or non-IgE mediated.
In this video, Professor Kirsi Järvinen-Seppo discusses major progress that has been made in research on food allergy, especially in cow’s milk protein allergy, leading to a better understanding of the epidemiology and underlying immunological mechanisms behind food allergies.
