The Hostile Abdomen: The Open Abdomen Nutrition Conundrum

This lecture presented on January 14, 2015 describes the physiologic characteristics that define an open abdomen.  The common nutritional challenges associated with an open abdomen are identified; as well as, data demonstrating positive outcomes from utilizing early enteral nutrition.
