Formula Intolerance and Allergy: Presentations, Mechanisms and Treatments

This lecture presented on October 6, 2015 describes mechanisms of formula intolerance in infants and identifies the available protein sources in infant formula. Differences in presentation of infants with Formula Protein Induced Enteropathy (FPIES) and IgE mediated allergy are presented; as well as outcome data on the role of early infant feeding and allergy treatment.
