Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD): Managing Metabolic Abnormalities and Enteral Nutrition Support

Presented on December 10, 2013.  This presentation describes the long-term effects of micronutrient imbalances on bone loss and other metabolic abnormalities in patients with chronic kidney disease. Specific nutritional parameters, lab values, and fluid status for renal patients receiving long term tube feedings are addressed, as well as, nutritional complications specific to peritoneal and hemodialysis patients.
