Research on the development of children’s eating behaviors and weight outcomes and the impact of the mealtime environment upon children’s eating patterns with a focus to:
- Investigating the feeding strategies and nutrition knowledge of caregivers, including childcare providers and family members.
- Examining cross-cultural aspects of children’s eating behaviors both in the United States and internationally and relation to childhood obesity. 
- Exploring the nutrient density of the diet and eating behaviors of children with autism spectrum disorders.
- Investigating children’s growth trajectories and the prediction of abnormal growth patterns.
- Examining individuals’ brain activation in response to environmental cues related to eating.
