The 13th Advances in Pediatric Nutrition is designed to provide the most updated, advanced and practical approaches to contemporary issues in pediatric nutrition. This activity will provide unique opportunities to learn, share and investigate new ways of assessing and managing pediatric patients with complex nutritional needs.

Who Should Attend?
This activity is intended for pediatric dietitians, pediatricians, pediatric gastroenterologists, pediatric pharmacists, pediatric nurses and other healthcare professionals with an interest in pediatric nutrition.

Objectives
After attending this activity, the participant will demonstrate the ability to:

 

  • Identify appropriate formulas and feeding regimes for premature infants, including those most appropriate for minimizing the development of cholestasis in long-term parenteral nutrition administration.
  • Describe the nutrition support guidelines for the critically ill pediatric patient.
  • Describe the relationship between mindful eating and wellness and children.
  • Describe the nutritional therapy options for IBD and their application.
  • Describe the practical applications for identifying malnutrition in hospitalized pediatric patients
